That\u2019s where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.utc.edu\/gary-w-rollins-college-of-business\/student-resources\/scholarships\">scholarships<\/a> from the <strong>Gary W. Rollins College of Business <\/strong>come in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below, you\u2019ll find what RCOB offers, who\u2019s eligible, how to apply and tips to improve your chances of being selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are the RCOB scholarships?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to generous donors, the Rollins College of Business offers multiple scholarships exclusively for business students. These awards are designed to invest in our students\u2019 academic journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The college uses a <strong>single application portal<\/strong> where eligible business students can apply for all the scholarships they\u2019re eligible for. That\u2019s right \u2013 your single application is considered for any scholarship you meet the requirements for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who\u2019s eligible?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students must meet the following criteria to be considered for general RCOB scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be enrolled full-time as a business major at the Gary W. Rollins College of Business. For undergraduates, that\u2019s at least 12 credit hours per semester.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain a <strong>minimum GPA of 2.75.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>You may also be considered for <strong>major-specific scholarships<\/strong> depending on your field of study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to apply<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Applications are open Oct. 1, 2025 \u2013 Jan. 30, 2026. <\/strong>Award notifications will be sent near the end of spring semester and will apply to the following fall semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.utc.edu\/apply\">UTC Application Portal<\/a> using the same credentials you used for your UTC admissions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the portal, go to <strong>\u201cOther Applications\u201d<\/strong> and select <strong>\u201cRCOB Scholarship.\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete your profile:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select <strong>student level<\/strong> (undergraduate or graduate) for Fall 2025.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose your <strong>major(s)<\/strong>. If you have a double major, there is an optional field for the second.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you&#8217;re in a master\u2019s program, indicate that and provide your start date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill in <strong>additional information<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Honors, awards, work experience or internships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extracurricular activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A short essay<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the submission page:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Read and agree to the <strong>consent information<\/strong> (for certain scholarships)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide your <strong>electronic signature<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Submit the application<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>After submission: Upload your resume<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to <strong>\u201cApplication Summary\u201d<\/strong> to upload your resume.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor application status via the portal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tips to make your application stand out<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lots of students will apply, so putting in extra effort helps. Here are strategies to boost your chances:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Polish your resume.<\/strong> Adding your resume is an easy and essential way to draw attention to your application. Even small details like formatting, spelling, clear structure and strong action verbs make a difference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tell your story in the essay.<\/strong> Go beyond your grades\u2014discuss challenges you\u2019ve overcome, leadership experiences or how you plan to use your business degree to impact your community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Show consistency.<\/strong> Share if you\u2019ve maintained steady involvement in clubs or internships. Highlight growth and responsibility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Quantify impact.<\/strong> Rather than saying \u201cI volunteered,\u201d say \u201cI organized 5 fundraisers raising $2,000 for X cause.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stay on deadline.<\/strong> Missing the deadline disqualifies you immediately.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>RCOB scholarships at UTC<\/strong> represent a big opportunity\u2014especially for students who are serious about making their mark in business.
