Grace McPherson – 1st Place Winner – Traditional Venture Track<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The UTC College of Business hosted its annual Student Pitch Competition on Wednesday, March 28. The competition gives contestants the chance to pitch their business ideas to a panel of expert judges within a 90-second time frame. This year’s competition included two different competition tracks: traditional ventures and social innovation ventures<\/strong> (organizations that address social problems using business).<\/p>\n

This year’s pitch competition winners included:<\/p>\n

Traditional Track<\/strong><\/p>\n

1st Place: Grace McPherson – DressHer<\/p>\n

2nd Place: Hiroshi Yanagida – Sense the Future<\/p>\n

3rd Place: William Kelly – Book Meets<\/p>\n

Social Innovation Track<\/strong><\/p>\n

1st Place: Christina Maximos – Maximos Naturals<\/p>\n

2nd Place: Katelyn Worley – Home Grown Fabrics<\/p>\n

3rd Place: Adam Hixson – Hixson Enterprises Inc.<\/p>\n

The continued success of the student pitch competition is a testament to the quality teaching and support from the Entrepreneurship Faculty at UTC as well as the business support from the Chattanooga Entrepreneurship community.<\/p>\n
