Two Gary W. Rollins College of Business programs have an application deadline of May 15, 2019: the Business Empowerment Academy and the Summer Business Experience.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Business Empowerment Academy (BEA) is a NEW 5-day residential summer program that is free of charge to all participants<\/strong>. The program is open to first generation college students, students on free or reduced lunch, or under-represented students (i.e., Native American, African American, Asian American, Hispanic) who are academically talented rising high school seniors (a senior in the fall of 2019) with a minimum GPA of 2.85. The program will focus on building a portfolio of skills in networking and overall professionalism, while reviewing the various majors offered in the Rollins College of Business. The program will take place June 17-21, 2019 on UTC\u2019s campus in Downtown Chattanooga.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The BEA offers the opportunity to interact one-on-one with university professors and successful business professionals through a variety of hands-on workshops, field trips and seminars. In addition, students will get a preview of college life and the Chattanooga experience through recreational events that include athletic activities, picnics, visits to area attractions and more!<\/p>\n

Now in its sixth year, the Summer Business Experience (SBE) is a 5-day residential summer program designed for academically talented rising high school seniors<\/strong> (a senior in the fall of 2019) who are interested in pursuing a career in business<\/strong>. The SBE includes visits to top employers of the UTC Rollins College of Business graduates, including national and regional leaders in the manufacturing, retail, and service industries. Students will experience personal interaction with top-level executives as well as behind-the-scenes tours. The program will take place June 24-28, 2019 on UTC\u2019s campus in Downtown Chattanooga.<\/strong><\/p>\n
