\"\"<\/a>In July, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will again host the Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) for Student Leaders<\/a> from Europe. The Center for Global Education is partnering with the Gary W. Rollins College of Business to welcome 20 students from 17 European countries \u2014 Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and Ukraine. These students will spend one month studying entrepreneurship and economic development at UTC.<\/p>\n

The SUSI program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA)<\/a> and administered by international development organization FHI 360<\/a>, immerses European students in entrepreneurship, economic development, and U.S. culture. Through formal instruction, experiential learning, and local partnerships, students develop entrepreneurship skills to benefit their home communities.<\/p>\n

The summer program is being spearheaded by Takeo Suzuki, Executive Director for the Center of Global Education, and Dr. Robert Dooley, Dean of the Gary W. Rollins College of Business. \u201cThis is going to be a great experience for these students, and a wonderful opportunity to build important relationships for the university,\u201d Suzuki says.<\/p>\n

The Center for Global Education is seeking families to host SUSI students for overnight stays and home-cooked meals. Homestay dates are July 13-14, 2019.
