{"id":11103,"date":"2023-08-21T11:23:15","date_gmt":"2023-08-21T15:23:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/campus-weekly\/?p=11103"},"modified":"2023-08-21T11:23:16","modified_gmt":"2023-08-21T15:23:16","slug":"fall-semester-construction-activities-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/campus-weekly\/2023\/08\/fall-semester-construction-activities-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Fall Semester Construction Activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Greetings campus community!\u00a0 I would like to make you aware of some construction activities that you may encounter on campus this semester.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mable &amp; 4<sup>th<\/sup> Street:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The sidewalk along the west side of Mable Street in front of the McKenzie Arena is closed due to the construction of the new Football Athletic Training Facility.\u00a0 The sidewalk will remain closed through the spring semester of 2024.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Campus Security Upgrades:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A project is underway to add multiple cameras on building exteriors across campus.\u00a0 The project will also add remote monitoring to exterior doors.\u00a0 Occupants of the affected buildings will be notified accordingly when work is scheduled.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Campus Utilities Upgrades:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A project is underway to repair\/upgrade underground utilities in various locations.\u00a0 Additional emails will be sent when specifics regarding scheduling are worked out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fine Arts-Art Wing Roof:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A project is underway to replace the roof over the shops in the Art Wing of the Fine Arts building.\u00a0 The project is scheduled to be completed within the next 120 days.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Danny West, LEED AP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Director of Construction Services<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Greetings campus community!\u00a0 I would like to make you aware of some construction activities that you may encounter on campus this semester.
