Campus Community:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your department is thinking about purchasing a new vehicle in Fiscal Year 2023, please be aware of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Manufacturers are currently quoting 4-6 month lead times on some 2023 Ford, Chevrolet, GM, etc. models and 11-plus months on low-speed vehicles like Club Car, E-Z-Go, E-Ride.<\/li>
  2. Transportation Services orders vehicles off of the State of Tennessee SWC 209 for Ford, Chevrolet, GM, etc. with contract pricing good for two years, based on model year.\u00a0<\/li>
  3. The current SWC 209 contract is for the 2022 and 2023 model years.\u00a0 Manufacturers typically close orders for a model year in March or April but as the automotive industry is still facing major part delays and shortages, some manufacturers are closing orders for specific 2023 vehicles as early as August 2022.<\/li>
  4. In the summer of 2023, the State of Tennessee will start soliciting bids for the 2024 and 2025 model years. Transportation Services won\u2019t be ordering any 2024 models until the contract is finalized in September 2023.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
