Greetings!<\/p>\n

We cannot believe summer is almost over. It’s almost time for our second annual First Flight\u2014A Pre-Welcome Week Experience. As we finalize the schedule, we would like to invite you to volunteer to help as we welcome students to campus. Below are some opportunities for you to consider:<\/p>\n

Tabling at Mocs Resource Fair<\/strong><\/p>\n

Partners will represent your office\/department by staffing a table and sponsoring a school supply on both Thursday, August 18, and Friday, August 19, from 2 to 4 p.m. Please prepare for at least 200 items.<\/p>\n

Volunteer at First Class<\/strong><\/p>\n

Partners will take a group of students immediately following Convocation on Friday, August 19 (around 11 a.m.) and lead a discussion about what a successful semester looks like at UTC. We will also introduce the Read2Achieve selection, How We Go Home.<\/em> Materials are provided. Faculty and staff are welcome. No classroom experience is necessary.<\/p>\n

Staff a Help Station<\/strong><\/p>\n

Partners will be stationed around campus in 2-hour increments to help answer questions. Volunteers can sign up for Saturday, August 20, or Sunday, August 21.<\/p>\n
