Dr. Chris Cunningham (Psychology) has requested and received $15,000 from the Yium Foundation for the project entitled, “Health Care Professional Well-Being Study.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Angela Dittmar, Dr. Laurie Allen, and Tiffany Edwards (Arts-Based Collaborative) have requested and received $30,000 from the City of Chattanooga for the project entitled, “Arts Integration and Family Engagement for City of Chattanooga EHS & HS.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Keenan Dungey, Dr. Jared Pienkos, and Dr. Wang-Yong Yang (Chemistry & Physics) have requested and received $9,600 from the American Chemical Society for the project entitled, “University of Tennessee at Chattanooga site for the American Chemical Society Project SEED.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Dawn Ford (Health & Human Performance) has requested and received $12,750 from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation for the project entitled, “Student Assistance with Outreach, Lead Testing, and Remediation in Child Care Facilities.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Dawn Ford and Emma Sampson (Health & Human Performance) have requested and received $35,698 from the City of Chattanooga for the project entitled, “UTC MPH Program Support of City of Chattanooga’s CARE Coalition.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charles Mix (IGTLab) has requested and received $7,250 from the Tennessee Aquarium for the project entitled, “Piney River Watershed Based (WBP) Management Plan, Geographic Information Systems Support.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Daniel Pack and Dr. Zachary Ruble (Electrical Engineering) have requested and received $20,000 from the Shared Spectrum Company for the project entitled, “SBIR & STTR Phase II.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Catherine Quinlan (English), Dr. Lucy Schultz (Philosophy and Religion), and Dr. Jennifer Boyd (Biology, Geology and Environmental Science) have requested and received $34,926 from the National Endowment for the Humanities for the project entitled, “Developing a Humanities Informed Environmental Studies Major.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Anthony Skjellum (SIMCenter) has requested and received $16,000 from the National Science Foundation for the project entitled, “Real-time Strategies and Synchronized Time Distribution Mechanisms for Enhanced Exascale Performance-Portability and Predictability.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Sandra Affare (SimCente), Dr. Jose Barbosa (Biology, Geology and Environmental Science), Dr. Marcus Mauldin (Political Science and Public Service), Dr. Marissa McElrone (Health & Human Performance), and Dr. Angelique Ramnarine (Mathematics) have requested $869,375 from the City of Chattanooga for the project entitled, “Healthier Citizens Through a Community-Driven Approach to Food Desert Elimination.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Amir Alakaam (Health & Human Performance) has requested $332,499 from the Tennessee Department of Health for the project entitled, “Developing a Curriculum for Public Health Workforces in Tennessee.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Kristen Black and Dr. Chris Cunningham (Psychology) have requested $60,904 from the Miller Industries for the project entitled, “Employee Engagement Survey 2022-2025.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twyler Boykin (Center for Community Career Education) has requested $1,488,007 from the U.S. Department of Education for the project entitled, “University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Upward Bound Math & Science.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. John Ellington and Jeffrey Melnik (School of Education) have requested $27,817 from the Freeman Foundation for the project entitled, “Freeman Foundation Teacher Professional Development Programs 2022-2023.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Ignatius Fomunung and Dr. Joseph Owino (Civil and Chemical Engineering) have requested $24,995 from the State of Tennessee for the project entitled, “Investigation of Towing Regulation in Tennessee.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Dawn Ford (Health & Human Performance) has requested $1,832,952 from the City of Chattanooga for the project entitled, “Healthy Environments Initiative.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Loren Hayes, Azad Hossain (Biology, Geology, and Environmental Science), and Dr. Jin Wang (Mathematics) have requested $74,977 from the Oak Ridge Associated Universities for the project entitled, “Modeling the impact of climate and land cover changes on the social organization of Octodon degus.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Jenny Holcombe (School of Nursing), in collaboration with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, has requested $33,593 from the National Institutes of Health for the project entitled, “Leveraging Complex System Dynamics to Understand Pathways to Health and Inequities in Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Youth in the U.S. Deep South.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hope Klug (Biology, Geology, and Environmental Science) has requested $28,453 from the National Science Foundation for the project entitled, “REPS Supplement to CAREER: Revisiting the operation of mate acquisition.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Marcus Mauldin (Political Science and Public Service) has requested $18,518 from the Tennessee Higher Education Commission for the project entitled, “Controversies in Public Policy Open Source Book.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Deborah McAllister (School of Education), in collaboration with Georgia Tech Applied Research Corporation, has requested $41,001 from NASA for the project entitled, “Inspiring NASAs Next Generation through Building, Coding, and Machine Learning Missions.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charles Mix (IGTLab) has requested $2,889 from the Cempa Community Care for the project entitled, “RWJF Data to Improve Community Conditions Shaped by Structural Racism.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Reetesh Ranjan and Dr. Kidambi Sreenicas (Mechanical Engineering) have submitted a preliminary proposal to the Corps of Engineers Engineer R & D Center for the project entitled, “Numerical Investigation and Multi-Scale Modeling of Differential Diffusion Effects in Stably Stratified Turbulent Flows.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Mina Sartipi (CUIP), Dr. Lani Gao (Mathematics), Dr. Jessica Taylor (LEAD), and Dr. Nancy Fell (Physical Therapy) have requested $435,696 from the National Institutes of Health for the project entitled, “A Statewide Pipeline for Under-Represented Students in Bioinformatics and Public Health.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
