This May I was given the opportunity of a lifetime to study abroad in Germany. I stayed in Berlin and Wolfsburg during my time in Germany and I loved every minute of it. Once we got to Berlin, I was instantly shocked of all the buildings and the size of the city. There is always something to do in Berlin and to be able to jump on train and go anywhere was really awesome. The best part about this trip was being able to go with a group of students and faculty from UTC. I did not know one single person prior to this trip but now I could call any of them for anything.<\/p>\n

The everyday life in Germany is really different, riding trains to go everywhere was very nice and convenient for all. The food in Berlin and Wolfsburg was amazing, that is one of the things I miss the most. Some of my favorite places that we visited were definitely Volkswagen, Autostadt, J\u00e4germeister, and the Brandenburg Gate. People forget how much significant history there is in these two cities until one visits them. The Berlin Wall and all of the WWII history is truly eye opening and to see the progress since then is incredible. Another thing I enjoyed was going to the campus in Wolfsburg and actually attending classes and being a student during our stay.<\/p>\n

Being able to study abroad with UTC was amazing and if I had the chance to do it again, I wouldn\u2019t think twice. Some advice to potential study abroad students would be to always keep an open mind and really take advantage of the opportunity you are given. One thing I learned quick was do as much as possible even if you are tired, I was always wanting to go do something because this could be the only time I would be given this kind of opportunity. One other helpful tip would really be to learn the native language or have some background with it and it will help you tremendously. If you don\u2019t know what you are doing just look around and follow along. This trip was a once in a lifetime experience and it wouldn\u2019t be possible without UTC, to that I say thank you!<\/p>\n
