This past Friday, the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees approved our 2025 Strategic Plan for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. \u00a0The Board agreed with our vision and our agenda for innovation and impact. \u00a0I want to thank Provost Hale for his leadership of the plan development process and each of you for your time and commitment in developing this plan.\u00a0 This was an important milestone for our campus and certainly cause for a moment of celebration. \u00a0Now the work begins: implementation of the plan.<\/p>\n
This plan serves as a framework for action in the years ahead. \u00a0It will guide our work to respond to a dynamic, challenging environment for public higher education as we seek to better serve our students and our community.<\/p>\n
Implementation of the plan is already underway, and I will be meeting with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) this week to ensure that we maintain momentum and drive accountability.\u00a0 Our progress will be tracked and shared on a dashboard and with regular reports.\u00a0 Our plan is not intended to restrict us to a predetermined set of actions, but as a living, breathing document that inspires and empowers change.<\/p>\n
Each of us has a role as we implement our strategic plan.\u00a0 Success will be as good as we make it and be as good as we are.<\/p>\n
Our shared expectation is greatness.<\/p>\n
