Final exams are nearly half over and commencement is just around the corner. \u00a0The commencement ceremony for graduate students is at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, and the undergraduate ceremony is at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, December 15. \u00a0I encourage all faculty and staff to attend and congratulate our students for all of their hard work.\u00a0 Commencement is one of the best days of the year for UTC.\u00a0 For information on parking and other details for each day, go to https:\/\/www.utc.edu\/records\/graduation\/commencement-day.php<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I am sure you have noticed the temporary fencing installed along Oak Street from Douglas Street to Palmetto Street. \u00a0It is in preparation for the start of the Oak Street landscaping project, which will begin during winter break. \u00a0Oak Street will be converted to a pedestrian-only walkway from Douglas to the Guerry Center.\u00a0 New pedestrian lighting and site furniture will be installed, and landscaping will be enhanced.<\/p>\n
