Our primary mission\u2014the reason we exist\u2014is to educate students: to prepare them for successful, meaningful lives as professionals and as engaged citizens. One of our greatest privileges and responsibilities as American citizens is exercising our right to vote. By participating in the election process, we demonstrate our commitment to improving our communities and our nation.<\/p>\n
The best way we can encourage our students to participate in our political process and to vote is to lead by example. Early voting in Tennessee for local offices and state and federal primaries begins July 18.<\/p>\n
