Over the summer the Department of Communication saw a few changes in the department’s faculty:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. McGhee to FAMU<\/h2>\n\n\n

Dr. Felicia McGhee<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n

After over 20 years at UTC, Dr. Felicia McGhee<\/strong> left UTC and accepted a job as Associate Dean of Curriculum and Student Success at Florida A&M University. Dr. McGhee first joined UTC’s COMM department as an adjunct professor before becoming a full-time lecturer. After completing her PhD at UT Knoxville, Dr. McGhee moved to the tenure\/tenure-track faculty, first as an assistant professor and then an associate professor. For the last 5 years Dr. McGhee had all served as the department head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faculty Promotions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Over the summer Dr. Nagwan Zahry and Dr. Jessica Freeman were tenured and promoted to associate professors. Congratulations to both!<\/p>\n\n\n

Dr. Broadway Joins Full-Time Faculty<\/h2>\n\n\n

This year, Dr. Camille Broadway will be joining the department full-time as a visiting lecturer. She will teach several different classes, including COMM 3200, Mass Communication Perspectives, and COMM 2300, Media Writing. Before joining the department full-time, Dr. Broadway served as an adjunct professor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
