On-campus testing is available for students and employees with COVID-19 symptoms or who have been exposed.<\/p>\n<h3>Schedule a Test<\/h3>\n<p>Call 423-425-2266 to schedule an appointment with <a href=\"https:\/\/explore.utc.edu\/?id=1826#!m\/503740?ce\/48793?ct\/0\">University Health Services<\/a>. COVID-19 testing and medical appointments are available Monday \u2013 Friday, 8 a.m. \u2013 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Depending on multiple factors, including the testing type used, UHS anticipates test results will be available within 24 hours or faster.<\/li>\n<li>Students and employees will be asked to provide health insurance information.\n<ul>\n<li>Testing for COVID-19 at UHS is done at no cost to the patient, but charges may be incurred for additional services rendered.<\/li>\n<li>Employees have access to free COVID testing. Please be mindful that other fees may be incurred during the COVID-related visit (labs, medication, etc). Contact University Health Services for details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Additional Testing<\/h3>\n<p>University Health Services offers FREE COVID-19 testing by appointment for the UTC community (faculty\/staff\/students)\u00a0at <a href=\"https:\/\/explore.utc.edu\/?id=1826#!m\/503740?ce\/48793?ct\/0\">University Health Services located at the Maclellan Gym<\/a>. You are required to make an appointment for this opportunity, please click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/utcemsa.as.me\/covid19-testing\">here<\/a>\u00a0to schedule a testing time.<\/p>\n<p>Who can test at University Health Services?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Anyone with exposure to COVID and\/or mild symptoms:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Runny nose or nasal congestion<\/li>\n<li>Sneezing<\/li>\n<li>Sore throat<\/li>\n<li>Dry cough<\/li>\n<li>Headache<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have other symptoms or may need to see a nurse practitioner, please call University Health Services at\u00a0423-425-2266\u00a0to schedule an appointment.<\/p>\n<p>Students and employees participating in testing must comply with all safety measures in the health facility.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Next Steps<\/h3>\n<p>Any UTC community member (regardless of vaccination status) who is experiencing symptoms, may have been exposed to or is being tested for COVID-19 should submit a <a href=\"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/coronavirus\/report-covid-19-symptoms-or-travel\/\">COVID-19 Notification Form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submitting this form triggers a notification to the COVID-19 Campus Support Team.<\/li>\n<li>Students and employees will be contacted by a team member within 24 hours.\n<ul>\n<li>If needed, the team can provide academic notifications to professors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If a student or employee is symptomatic, COVID-positive or identified as being exposed, the individual may isolate or quarantine.<\/p>\n<p>Learn more about the isolation and quarantine process at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.utc.edu\/isolate-quarantine\">utc.edu\/isolate-quarantine<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Optional testing for COVID-19 is available on campus for employees and students, whether they live on or off campus.
