The unemployment rate hit an all-time low of 2.5 percent, but that number is not seasonally adjusted. The seasonal adjustment should result in a rate of 3 percent, which would tie April for the lowest ever, set in February and March of this year. The jobs numbers also look good and, if jobs grow at the same rate all year, 2024 will end up one of the best years on record for Chattanooga.
