{"id":1439,"date":"2018-02-08T16:08:40","date_gmt":"2018-02-08T21:08:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/engineering-computer-science\/?p=1439"},"modified":"2019-06-20T14:46:28","modified_gmt":"2019-06-20T18:46:28","slug":"academic-all-southern-conference-team-honorees-for-fall-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/engineering-computer-science\/2018\/02\/08\/academic-all-southern-conference-team-honorees-for-fall-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"CECS Student Athletes Named to All-Southern Conference Academic Team Fall 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Four student athletes in the College of Engineering and Computer Science were recently named to the All-Southern Conference Academic Team.<\/p>\n<p>Each semester the SoCon honors individuals for excelling in the classroom, as well as for their performance on the field.\u00a0 To be eligible for the academic all-conference team, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA at the conclusion of the fall semester, and are required to compete in at least one-half of their teams&#8217; competitions.
