A native of Ghana, Dr. Ofoli\u2019s research interests are in power and sustainable energy, controls, in addition to automotive sensors.<\/p>\n<p>After earning a bachelor\u2019s degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana, Dr. Ofoli completed both M.S. and Ph. D. programs in electrical engineering at Howard University.\u00a0 While at Howard University, he worked as a teaching and research assistant.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Ofoli is a senior member of IEEE and has served for nine years on IEEE\u2019s Industrial Automation and Controls Committee. He has chaired the Technical Controls Committee for three years. As Associate Editor and reviewer for the IEEE Industrial Application Society Dr. Ofoli is active in the communication of new trends and research initiatives in electrical engineering.\u00a0 In addition to authorship of a book chapter, he has sixteen journal publications.<\/p>\n<p>For the past five years, Dr. Ofoli has been the faculty advisor for the CECS student chapter of IEEE. In that capacity, he works with the members to provide experiential learning opportunities including plant tours, research presentations, and job postings.<\/p>\n<p>In service to the College and the entire campus, Dr. Ofoli is the faculty coordinator of development of the\u00a0 Electrical Engineering undergraduate curriculum.
