This Fall, 20 Future Ready Institutes will open at Hamilton County High Schools. Red Bank High School is hosting the Institute of Computer Sciences and Engineering. In preparation, a team of teachers attended a two-day externship on June 13-14 hosted by UTC College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">The Teacher Externship Program<a href=\"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/engineering-computer-science\/files\/2018\/06\/Chemical.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1660 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/engineering-computer-science\/files\/2018\/06\/Chemical-300x243.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"243\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/engineering-computer-science\/files\/2018\/06\/Chemical-300x243.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/engineering-computer-science\/files\/2018\/06\/Chemical-768x621.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/engineering-computer-science\/files\/2018\/06\/Chemical-1024x828.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/engineering-computer-science\/files\/2018\/06\/Chemical-580x469.jpg 580w, https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/engineering-computer-science\/files\/2018\/06\/Chemical-610x493.jpg 610w, https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/engineering-computer-science\/files\/2018\/06\/Chemical-247x200.jpg 247w, https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/engineering-computer-science\/files\/2018\/06\/Chemical-495x400.jpg 495w, https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/engineering-computer-science\/files\/2018\/06\/Chemical.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> aims to give teachers working knowledge of the skills needed for career success, so they can develop curriculum to better prepare students. The externship at UTC CECS featured hands-on exercises led by faculty in computer science and various fields of engineering, as well as a site visit to Komatsu and the UTC SimCenter.
