First Offering in the Spring 2017 Speaker Series<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Three outstanding alumni, holding both baccalaureate and master\u2019s degrees from the College, \u00a0were welcomed back to campus to share with students, faculty, staff, and the general public, their thoughts on the characteristics of well-rounded engineers<\/a>, technologists, and computer scientists.\u00a0 On the evening of January 25, Lulu Copeland \u201982 and \u201909, Kayvon Sadrabadi \u201987 and \u201993, and Kim Hulvey \u201906 and \u201910, \u00a0who are leaders in their respective professions and in our community, spoke to a full house in the Benwood Auditorium of the EMCS Building.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>In a panel presentation format with Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering Dr. Bradley Harris serving as facilitator, Copeland, Sadrabadi, and Hulvey addressed questions focused on the preparation, experiences, and personal characteristics essential to making a positive impact on the students\u2019\u00a0 chosen disciplines, \u00a0specific positions, and \u00a0communities.\u00a0 As Executive Director of Workforce Development for Chattanooga State Community College, Consultant to the Insurance Industry, and Reactor Engineering Manager with TVA, respectively, Copeland, Sadrabadi, and Hulvey\u2019s observations were particularly helpful to our students as they position themselves to enter the workforce community.
