 <\/p>\n

I chose to study history to help me deepen my understanding and appreciation for the people and events that have led us to where we are today. I feel that history is a discipline that infuses scholars with greater empathy, appreciation, and understanding about the world around them. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the UTC History Department<\/a>; the professors<\/a> I have had the privilege to study under have been beyond kind and helpful to me in all regards. It is an honor for me to be awarded this scholarship, and to me it displays the lengths to which the History Department goes to support its students\u2019 success.<\/span><\/p>\n
