Brooke Persons is a specialist in the archaeology of colonial contact in the Caribbean and directs UTC&#8217;s Jeffrey Brown Institute of Archaeology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The presentation will discuss ritual and the role of personal adornment in prehistoric communities in the Greater Antilles, using recent iconographic studies to consider how items of personal adornment may be used to legitimize ritual authority in the prehistoric Caribbean.
