Spring 2020 alum Chris Cage<\/a><\/strong> was accepted into the Human Resources graduate program<\/strong> at Western Carolina University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

–<\/span><\/p>\n

History minor alum Nathan Collyer<\/strong> worked on the ChattaStory Project<\/a><\/strong>, a website that aims to engage and connect people with places by immersing them in the geography, geology, and history of local sites using interactive ESRI ArcGIS StoryMaps.<\/p>\n

–<\/span><\/p>\n

History major Trisha Daugherty<\/strong> completed a summer internship<\/a><\/strong> with UTC Library’s Special Collections<\/strong> and wrote about her experience here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

–<\/span><\/p>\n

History major Alex Furr<\/strong> completed an internship<\/a><\/strong> at National Park Partners<\/strong>, as part of which she published a blog post<\/a> about Jacob Cummings, who escaped enslavement on Moccasin Bend in 1839 via the Underground Railroad.<\/p>\n

–<\/span><\/p>\n

Spring 2021 graduate Regine E. McDavid<\/strong> was accepted into the Teach For America<\/strong> program and will be instructing and mentoring students in Memphis.<\/p>\n

–<\/span><\/p>\n

Rebekah Reed<\/strong><\/a>, spring 2016 alum, graduated from Harvard Law School<\/strong> in the spring of 2021.<\/p>\n

–<\/span><\/p>\n

Spring 2018 alum Zeke Starr<\/strong> graduated from Duke Law School<\/strong> in the spring of 2021.<\/p>\n

Jonah Stokes<\/strong>, who graduated from UTC in spring 2021 with a double major in History and English, edited and contributed to the 2021 collection “The Lavender Chronicles<\/a><\/strong>: Stories of Queer Livelihood, Hope, Love and Identity.”<\/p>\n

–<\/span><\/p>\n

Spring 2021 graduate Cole Whitaker<\/strong> received the 2021 American History Scholarship<\/strong> from the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Tennessee.\u00a0 He was also commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army<\/strong> and is now continuing his historical studies at The Citadel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
