I chose history because I wanted to find out how past events have influenced the present day. While I\u2019ve had so many questions answered learning about history, the new and unintended questions that I now have make me even more interested in historical narratives. As I approach the end of my UTC career, I can honestly say that history has not only expanded my horizon but also taught me how important the interpretation of knowledge can be. Receiving this scholarship was a surprise, but I appreciate that my professors recognized my hard work and commitment to history. I am forever grateful for the opportunities the History Department has given me to succeed in and outside the classroom.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
