I love learning about the facts and an accurate portrayal of the past in a world that can morph and manipulate information. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love history due to how meticulous it is.  Historians comb through records and archives with intent and a desire to record and measure the past.  There are very few \u201cabsolute\u201d truths and historians know that new evidence discovered can mean a new understanding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love history because it can teach us so much about our past and about society. We can analyze history to understand why things are the way they are. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through studying history, we can see how societies became the way they are and get lost in the layers of culture throughout centuries. I also find history amazing because we can see what\u2019s going on in the present so much better through the lens of history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love being able to find things that happened in the past still applicable to current events. I find it amusing that when I tell people about my passion for historical studies they immediately assume I have limited myself to either be a teacher or a museum curator. I see history as an avenue for education. History is an intricate discipline that requires a lot of social nuance and understanding. I personally find history incredibly interesting and fun. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

History never gets old, and that is why it is timeless. It teaches us where we came from and how far we have come. It is fundamental in that it provides a foundation for education in every discipline and area of study. History is built bit by bit, and that is what I love about it. If I cannot do something perfectly, that\u2019s okay. What I do can help the next person have a better viewpoint of that history, so then they have a better place to build their block in the structure.
