Prof. Luke Manget<\/a><\/span> took students in his class on Appalachian History (HIST 3920) to Cades Cove<\/a><\/span>, TN over spring break.<\/span><\/p>\n

The class had been reading a community study of Cades Cove prior to it becoming a national park as a window into the broader Appalachian region\u2019s history.\u00a0 The students were using the trip to study the Cades Cove landscape as a way to better understand the cove\u2019s history.\u00a0 They are working towards creating a digital museum exhibit that uses photographs to explore different aspects of the cove\u2019s history and plan on launching a website that will include the exhibits in the next month. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
