Andrea added a new field to the “UTC Library Report IT” form listed in the links on the right side of the blog. The field is “Needed By” w/a handful of options, to help us understand the time-based need of whatever you’re reporting/requesting. This will aid us as we inch closer toward determining a better structure for prioritizing IT-related requests. Feel free to use this form in lieu of libtech@utc.edu. The form submits to that distribution list, as is. The form has the added bonus of Ccing other departments’ distribution lists, depending on the category (Instruction also receives “Classroom Tech” submissions, for example). If emailing the distribution list directly, providing us with a sense of urgency or a soft/hard deadline, in addition to as much contextual information as you can, will help us figure out how quickly we should respond/address the need. We will try to do a better job of asking for this upfront, as well. Thanks.
