Context as to why:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Andy has been moved to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP).<\/li>\n<li>The GIS lab, now called the\u00a0Interdisciplinary Geospatial Technology Lab (IGTLab), will provide expertise, hardware, and software for applied geospatial research projects.<\/li>\n<li>This new lab is located in SimCenter 102. It is open 8 am &#8211; 10pm when courses are not scheduled. It can accommodate up to 28 students. Access is coordinated through SimCenter admin staff.\u00a0All departments and UTC faculty or staff or welcome to access the lab.<\/li>\n<li>Much\u00a0of the software is moving into a hosted environment:\u00a0<span class=\"s2\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.arcgis.com\/features\/index.html\">http:\/\/www.arcgis.com\/features\/index.html<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span>A majority of future users will access through a browser.<\/li>\n<li>Any requests for use of ArcGIS we encounter in the library\u00a0should be directed to Andy at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:andrew-carroll@utc.edu\">andrew-carroll@utc.edu<\/a>.
