If you happen not to read UTCINFO (& who can blame you), copying & pasting the content of an email that went out today, regarding UTC’s decision to finally begin enforcing password policies. Note the change in URL come July 1st<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

“In order to ensure the security of University resources and to align with UT System standards and practices, IT will be implementing changes regarding password expiration and history. \u00a0The following changes\u00a0will take effect July 1, 2017.<\/p>\n

Passwords will expire and must be reset\u00a0(once every\u00a0180 days for regular employees; 90 days for IRIS users). Upon expiration, accounts will be locked until the password is reset.<\/p>\n

Password history will be enforced. \u00a0This means you will need to choose a new password every time\u00a0it is reset.<\/p>\n

Passwords will be managed by going to\u00a0https:\/\/ds.utk.edu\/passwords\/<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Important<\/em><\/strong>:\u00a0You will no longer change your password at <\/em>https:\/\/iam.utc.edu<\/a>“<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
