The new license format will be specific to individual users and will require UTC IT to assign licenses to employees to use Adobe products.<\/p>\n<h4>Benefits of the new license for individual users of Creative Cloud include:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The ability for the employee to use the software on two computers at once, one of which may be a home computer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>All Adobe products in the Creative Cloud suite will be available for download on an on-demand, per-app basis (Example: If Photoshop and Acrobat are all that\u2019s needed on a computer, only those two apps selected will be downloaded\/installed).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>*Note<\/strong>\u2014The benefits highlighted above are\u00a0not\u00a0available for Captivate or Presenter.<\/p>\n<p>UTC departments may purchase licenses for Captivate and Presenter separately through UTC\u2019s Help Desk by request.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Employees must be entered in IRIS as a regular, full-time faculty or staff to be eligible for entitlement.<\/li>\n<li>Adjunct instructors, part-time staff and special titled employees (such as Affiliates and Friends of the University) do not qualify for entitlement.<\/li>\n<li>New employees will require at least a two-night sync for their Adobe entitlement eligibility to be added, allowing a Named License to be added to their account (required to use Adobe CC).<\/li>\n<li>Employees ending their employment with the University will lose access to Adobe effective the day after their status has been updated to \u201cterminated\u201d in IRIS.<\/li>\n<li>Student Employees may be provisioned with a Named License at the request of a Supervisor under the following conditions:\n<ul>\n<li>Supervisor meets the full-time eligibility criteria mentioned above.<\/li>\n<li>Student Employee uses the Named License to conduct\u00a0<em>non-academic work<\/em>\u00a0for the department.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Requesting an Adobe Named License<\/h3>\n<h4>Software Request Form<\/h4>\n<p>The Creative Cloud Suite and other software may be requested by completing and submitting a Software Request Form.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.utc.edu\/information-technology\/services\/software-facstaff.php\">Learn more about the software request form process\u00a0\u2192<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>More Information<\/h4>\n<p>If you are an eligible member of Faculty or Staff based on all criteria stated above and would like a more direct, step-by-step guide to requesting and installing the newest version of Adobe, please refer to UTC\u2019s IT knowledge base article on the process:<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/it-knowledge-base\/obtaining-creative-cloud-utc-employees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IT Knowledge Base: Obtaining Creative Cloud for UTC Employees\u00a0\u2192<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>*Per Campus IT&#8217;s post about named licenses*\u00a0 Retrieved from https:\/\/www.utc.edu\/information-technology\/services\/adobe-information.php Instructions on how to get patrons through the login process to edit PDFs while at Info Commons machines is located a few posts down on alerts entitled &#8220;Assistance w\/ Adobe Login for Patrons&#8221;
