Multiple folks in the library have noticed a shift in how O365 spam works in the last few weeks. We seem to be getting batch digests of Microsoft Spam reports, which we can then decide to release or not. As opposed to these emails previously ending up in the Junk Email folder or getting through to our inboxes. Feedback: 1) increasingly more legitimate email is being treated as spam than prior; 2) the UI to bulk release emails is clunky; 3) permanently releasing from some domains doesn\u2019t appear to be working well.<\/p>\n

Campus IT response: \u201cTo our knowledge, the redirect to Microsoft Quarantine is due to a Microsoft-managed security filter. Unfortunately, the only way to “train” Microsoft to allow messages is by continuously allowing the messages to your inbox and marking them as safe. While it isn’t an immediate fix, Microsoft will eventually begin allowing the selected sender through. To speed up this process, you may also add the domain as a safe sender in your Outlook settings. If there are any important domains that are consistently being blocked my Microsoft, let us know. While I don’t believe we have control over this, I can certainly still send the domain to our Enterprise Applications team for confirmation.”<\/p>\n
