A patron reported that her bag was missing when she returned to the computer bank on 1st floor after having stepped outside. A quick search was made of the obvious places within the building but with no result. UTC PD was called and came to speak with the student. There appears to have been nothing of major value in the bag but it did contain a MOCS card and driver’s license. The officer gave me a description (we had two different accounts of the bag and they varied somewhat) and stated that if we found it we should alert UTC PD. After the officer left I made a fairly thorough search of the entire building by floors including the women’s restrooms and the stairwells. I walked the majority of the stacks in case the item had been abandoned on a book shelf. No patron in the building appeared to have an item matching the description and I did not find one in any trash can or stairwell. I think we have to assume the item is no longer in the building, but just in case—be on the lookout for a cloth tote bag or purse either with flowers or a pattern, with a black and white polka dot handle.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
