A patron on 2nd floor brought a hand written note to the service desk that he said was left in place of his belongings. He had walked away from the computer where he was sitting to take a phone call and when he returned his belongings were gone.\u00a0 The note (turned over to the police) did not appear to be anything that the library would place on a patron’s property. After receiving the alert from my student on the 2nd floor desk I called Dispatch and an officer came to take the report. The patron has continued to search for his belongings, meanwhile he has given us his contact information should any of his items turn up. If you should come across any lost or abandoned items please check with Heather or Cheryl at circulation to see if the item matches any of his lost items. He may call the circulation desk tomorrow for an update, and he has been given contact information for UTC PD.
