There are some exciting changes coming with this particular update&#8211;some that we have been asking for for a long long long time! The update will take place in the wee hours of the morning (Sunday Night\/Monday Morning.)<\/p>\n<p>You can get detailed information about the update&#8211;including screenshots <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oclc.org\/support\/worldshare-management-services\/sites\/www.oclc.org.support.worldshare-management-services\/files\/WMS%20Release%20Notes%2020130512.pdf\">here<\/a>. \u00a0You will need your WMS Support Center login to access the documents. \u00a0Paper copies are available at the circulation and reference desks as well.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a synopsis of what is happening&#8211;I have added the release notes page numbers for your reference. \u00a0If you have any questions, please feel free to ask Katie or Andrea!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Acquisitions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Predicting Next Issue of a Serial Title<\/p>\n<p>2. Saving orders manually<\/p>\n<p>3. Editing fund information (after created and use fund name and code)<\/p>\n<p>4. We can now reliably edit large orders<\/p>\n<p>5. Items without publisher info can now be ordered<\/p>\n<p><strong>Circulation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oclc.org\/support\/worldshare-management-services\/sites\/www.oclc.org.support.worldshare-management-services\/files\/WMS%20Release%20Notes%2020130512.pdf#page=7\">Changes to the patron profile<\/a> (pg. 7):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Multiple addresses and phone numbers display and edit<\/li>\n<li>State and province list based on country selection<\/li>\n<li>Add multiple staff and public notes to patron record<\/li>\n<li>Toggles for manually blocking patron, fine exempt, collection exempt, and store checkout history<\/li>\n<li>Manually block patron<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oclc.org\/support\/worldshare-management-services\/sites\/www.oclc.org.support.worldshare-management-services\/files\/WMS%20Release%20Notes%2020130512.pdf#page=10\">Display bill details<\/a>\u00a0(pg. 10): payment history and notes for a specific bill can now be displayed from payment account screen\u2014Click on \u201cdetail\u201d under bill reason.<\/p>\n<p>4. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oclc.org\/support\/worldshare-management-services\/sites\/www.oclc.org.support.worldshare-management-services\/files\/WMS%20Release%20Notes%2020130512.pdf#page=10\">Retain transaction history for items and history<\/a>\u00a0(pg. 10-11)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Has to be activated by staff in service configuration (specify duration for how long we want to keep history.)<\/li>\n<li>If activated will be retained for all patrons and titles.<\/li>\n<li>Display patron transaction history on the \u201cnew history tab\u201d on the patron account<\/li>\n<li>You can also show transaction history on the \u201citem\u201d record as well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>5.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oclc.org\/support\/worldshare-management-services\/sites\/www.oclc.org.support.worldshare-management-services\/files\/WMS%20Release%20Notes%2020130512.pdf#page=11\">Bill calculation honors open dates only<\/a>\u00a0(pg. 11) (will need to look into impacts on our notification vs. billing set up)<\/p>\n<p>6. Loan and hold policies can contain double quotes<\/p>\n<p>13. New due date prints on due date receipt when item is successfully renewed.<\/p>\n<p>14. Receipts print for problem titles (if an item contained a single letter you couldn\u2019t print.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>License Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. ERMI compliant terms of use added<\/p>\n<p>2. ILL terms of use able to be saved<\/p>\n<p>3.
