Meet Carolyn Runyon, the Digital Archivist. She comes to us from the American University in Cairo where she worked on a participatory archives project aimed at documenting the January 25 Revolution. Carolyn hangs out in Special Collections & University Archives and works on building up our library of digital content. We’re glad to have her aboard. Onward with the 10 questions:<\/p>\n

1. Describe Chattanooga as though you were speaking to an extraterrestrial civilization.<\/strong>
\nSmall, southern city with its own typeface<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2. What do you do when you feel like doing nothing?<\/strong>
\nRead, watch terrible TV, attempt to bake (I\u2019m notorious for burning stuff!), solve crossword and sudoku puzzles, and hang out with my dog, Pal.<\/p>\n

3. What\u2019s the best trip you\u2019ve been on?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Camping in the Black and White desert. It\u2019s seriously worth the ticket to Egypt.<\/p>\n

4. Would you rather live the life of a stapler or a hammer?<\/strong>
\nHammer. I get to work outside on construction sites instead of collect dust on a desk.<\/p>\n

5. What question irritates you the most during a job interview?<\/strong>
\nWhere do you see yourself in 5 years?<\/p>\n

6. If you had a superpower what would it be and why?<\/strong>
\nFlying. So much cheaper than airfare.<\/p>\n

7. Name a scene from any movie you\u2019d like to recreate with stop motion snowmen.<\/strong>
\nThe laser scene in Goldfinger<\/a>.<\/p>\n

8. Favorite Christmas gift as a child?<\/strong>
\nPocket microscope. For a while, I went around inspecting everything.<\/p>\n

9. What animal makes the best noise?<\/strong>
\nCamels. They make these really grumpy, exasperated sounds when you ride them.<\/p>\n

10. Which Golden Girl are you (& why)?<\/strong>
