In other words, it means leading in a global context or environment. But what does the term, &#8220;global,&#8221; really mean? Just like the terms, &#8220;art,&#8221; &#8220;beauty,&#8221; and &#8220;love&#8221; hold different meanings for different people, scholars working in this new field of global leadership found that different scholars had various implicit definitions of the construct, &#8220;global.&#8221; My colleagues and I have recently been trying to delineate in more fine-grained detail what the concept of &#8220;global&#8221; means and how we should think about it in reference to leadership. \u00a0Our publications to date on this issue are listed below:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Mendenhall, M.E.
