Students launch out-of this-world High Altitude Balloon
Earlier this May, Dr. Daniel Loveless led a team of 13 undergraduate and graduate students as they successfully launched and retrieved a high altitude balloon that peaked at an altitude of approximately 108,000 feet.

UTC introduces new Master’s in Automotive Systems
This fall, the College of Engineering and Computer Science will launch a new Master’s program catered to increasing opportunities from automotive industries in the Chattanooga area, including the 4,000 new jobs and $1.1 billion in capital investments of 2015 alone, as described on the program’s website.

A group of UTC students took on the challenge of creating a sensory wall designed to stimulate and encourage practicing balance and coordination for a six-year-old girl who was born with premature birth defects.
