From March 30 April 1, UTC hosts the American Society of Civil Engineers Mid-South Student Symposium, welcoming more than 300 civil engineering students from 14 visiting universities to participate in various technical and non-technical competitions and events throughout Chattanooga.
Campus Composers Concert set for April 3 at Roland Hayes Concert Hall
The Campus Composers Concert “will offer high-level performances by professional musicians on the UTC faculty and guest artists, along with some fine student performers,” said Dr. Jonathan McNair, Ruth S. Holmberg Professor of American Music at UTC.

Animal attraction: Petting zoo fascinates large crowd on Chamberlain Field
Over three hours, UTC students, faculty, staff—basically anyone who was there at the time—were given the chance to pet a host of animals, including goats, rabbits, donkeys, sheep and Highland cows, native to Scotland, and an alpaca, native to South America.
Recent UTC grad Oleander Reagan Artemis earns prestigious Fulbright award
Oleander Reagan-Artemis, a May 2022 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, has won a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) to Romania. Participants in the ETA program help teach English while representing the U.S. as cultural ambassadors.

ChattState UTC Connect: New dual admission agreement allows for seamless transition
On Tuesday, March 21, a dual admission agreement between UTC and Chattanooga State Community College was formalized. The Chatt State UTC Connect agreement reiterates a commitment to ensure a smooth transfer of Chattanooga State students to UTC to complete their bachelor’s degree programs.
Memphis, here we come: UTC Mock Trial advances to nationals
For the fourth time in eight years, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Mock Trial team has advanced to the national championship tournament. The tournament, which takes place April 14-16 in Memphis at host site Rhodes College, features 48 mock trial teams from across the country.
I Love UTC Week to bring alums—and an alpaca—to campus
The spring version of Homecoming Week is returning to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I Love UTC Week, a spring semester tradition since 2014, will take place on campus Monday through Saturday, March 20-25.
