For the sixth consecutive year, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will present a benefit production of\u00a0Eve Ensler\u2019s <\/span>The Vagina Monologues <\/em>on Thursday, February 13 at 7 p.m., Friday, February 14, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, February 15, at 2 p.m. at the University Center Auditorium.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hailed by The New York Times<\/em> as \u201cfunny\u201d and \u201cpoignant\u201d and by the Daily News as \u201cintelligent\u201d and \u201ccourageous,\u201d\u00a0The Vagina Monologues<\/em>, which was first performed off-Broadway by Eve Ensler, dives into the mystery, humor, pain, power, wisdom, outrage and excitement buried in women\u2019s experiences.<\/p>\n

Ensler has performed the play to great acclaim throughout the world \u2013 from Zagreb to Santa Barbara, from London to Seattle, from Jerusalem to Oklahoma City.\u00a0\u00a0Villard Books\/Random House first published\u00a0The Vagina Monologues<\/em>, which includes a foreword by Gloria Steinem, in February 1998.\u00a0\u00a0A special edition was released in hard cover and paperback in February 2008 in honor of V-Day\u2019s ten-year anniversary.<\/p>\n

Tickets are $5 for students (with ID) and $10 for general admission.\u00a0 Tickets may be purchased in the University Center lobby on February 11-12, by contacting the Women\u2019s Center\u00a0\u00a0(423-425-5605) or at the door.<\/p>\n
