Two UTC students were honored at the annual Public Administration and Non-Profit Management (PANM) Community Advisory Board luncheon. Meghan Greene won the Ralph Anderson Award and Sid Sadler received an award of special appreciation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Established in 2013, the Ralph Anderson Award recognizes an outstanding PANM student who demonstrated distinction in academic performance and in service to the local community of nonprofits in the greater Chattanooga area.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeghan is one of the stars of our program. She is outstanding academically and within the community,\u201d Dr. Irina Khmelko, UC Foundation Assistant Professor of\u00a0Political Science, Public Administration, and Nonprofit Management and PANM coordinator.<\/p>\n

The award honors the memory of Dr. Ralph Anderson, a former UTC professor who retired in 2012 after 30 years of service to the University. During his tenure at UTC, he received the first ever Patricia Draper Obear Distinguished Professorship. Anderson was passionate about improving his community, devoting decades to teaching students who would go on to lead many of Chattanooga’s non-profit organizations.<\/p>\n

An award of special appreciation was given to Sid Sadler.<\/p>\n

\u201cI stumbled upon the PANM program and just immediately fell in love with the community the faculty and students have created here. I love how we help out the greater Chattanooga community and really make a difference,\u201d Sadler said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
