Pratt presented their independent research papers as part of the Academy of Economics and Finance\u2019s Undergraduate Student Paper Competition at the Academy of Economics and Finance (AEF) Conference in Jacksonville, Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Three of the students, Tim Barczak, Kristan Cartwright, and Lisa Wheatley, are economics majors and one student, Kaleb Tilton, is an economics minor.\u00a0 The UTC students were among only 21 undergraduate students who were selected to present at the conference.<\/p>\n<p>Students presented:\u00a0 \u201cMovie Box Office Success as a Result of Online Crowd-sourced Ratings\u201d by Tim Barczak; \u201cComplete College America: Will it Really Work?\u201d by Kristan Cartwright; \u201cFactors Determining the Salary of an NFL Running Back\u201d by Kaleb Tilton; and \u201cFactors Affecting Child Mortality\u201d by Lisa Wheatley.<\/p>\n<p>The papers began as the students\u2019 final projects in Pratt\u2019s Econometrics course in spring 2014
