{"id":1367,"date":"2009-06-05T16:00:25","date_gmt":"2009-06-05T21:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/news\/?p=1367"},"modified":"2010-10-26T14:33:29","modified_gmt":"2010-10-26T18:33:29","slug":"freshman-engineering-project-assists-child","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/news\/2009\/06\/freshman-engineering-project-assists-child\/","title":{"rendered":"Freshman engineering project assists child"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Four freshmen engineering students designed a new way for a 2 \u00bd-year-old boy of short stature to use his parents\u2019 toilet seat.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Cecelia Wigal\u2019s students Zach Bell, Tim Boerema, Benjamin Barrow and Michael Sherrit were asked to design a toilet seat that integrates into the child\u2019s parents existing toilet seat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe had been unable to potty train because he could not properly access his parents\u2019 toilet seat.
