{"id":14120,"date":"2015-10-01T15:40:23","date_gmt":"2015-10-01T19:40:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/news\/?p=14120"},"modified":"2015-10-06T09:19:44","modified_gmt":"2015-10-06T13:19:44","slug":"utc-school-of-nursing-recognized-by-nurse-journal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/news\/2015\/10\/utc-school-of-nursing-recognized-by-nurse-journal\/","title":{"rendered":"UTC School of Nursing recognized by Nurse Journal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>By Ashley Arnold, University Relations Intern<\/em><\/p>\n<p>UTC\u2019s School of Nursing has been included in Nurse Journal\u2019s most recent rankings of America\u2019s Best Nursing schools for the Eastern Region for the year 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Nurse Journal sorted over 1100 different schools into five different categories that included <em>quality, affordability, convenience, satisfaction and value<\/em> in order to find the best nursing schools in the Eastern Region.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Christine Benz Smith, Director of the UTC School of Nursing says, \u201cIt is very rewarding to be recognized as an outstanding program. However, it is important to remember that it is the faculty, staff, and students that are the heart of the program. When you have faculty and staff who love what they do and students who are eager to learn about the profession, the result should be a program that is top ranked.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is the second national recognition in three for UTC\u2019S School of Nursing as well as being ranked sixth in the country for our RN-BSN program.<\/p>\n<p>Smith went on to say, \u201cWe are very pleased to achieve these ratings and will continue to work hard to live up to this recognition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>UTC is confident that these previous findings as well as Nurse Journal\u2019s most recent rankings will be used by future students as a guide in choosing which schools to attend in the years to come.
