The Vagina Monologues <\/span><\/i>returns to UTC as a benefit production sponsored by the UTC Women\u2019s Action Council and Women\u2019s Center with proceeds benefiting the Partnership for Families, Children and Adults, and the UTC Survivor Advocacy Services.<\/span><\/p>\n

The show will take place in the Multicultural Center (UC-3rd Floor) on Thursday and Friday, February 18 – 19, at 7 P.M., and Saturday, February 20, at 2 P.M. Tickets are $5 for students (with Mocs ID) and $10 for general admission and may be purchased by contacting the Women\u2019s Center (423-425-5605) or at the door.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>The Vagina Monologues<\/span><\/i> tells women\u2019s stories and experiences through the power of both laughter and tears. The monologues address issues ranging from the hilarity of visiting the gynecologist to rape as a war crime and everything in between. The audience always leaves more empowered and informed about women throughout the world,\u201d said Sara Peters, Women’s Center Director.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hailed by The New York Times as “funny” and “poignant” and by the Daily News as “intelligent” and “courageous,” <\/span>The Vagina Monologues, <\/span><\/i>based on interviews with over 200 women, dives into the mystery, humor, pain, power, wisdom, outrage and excitement buried in women\u2019s experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
