The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga announces the appointment of Dr. David Rausch as Vice Provost for Academic Affairs.<\/span><\/p>\n The Vice Provost for Academic Affairs is responsible for the day-to-day coordination among the various academic affairs units, including international programs, continuing education, student success, assessment, accreditation, institutional research, the Walker Center for Teaching and Learning, and other units in regard to operational issues. The position also works closely with university IT leadership to ensure necessary academic support and innovation. The Vice Provost will serve on a number of University committees and represent the Office of the Provost in the Provost\u2019s absence, as appropriate.<\/span><\/p>\n Rausch\u2019s broad yet detailed experience in assessment, accreditation processes and procedures, management of complex organizational structures, and implementation and use of technology to benefit student progression and completion, made him the committee\u2019s recommendation and choice for the Vice Provost.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI want to thank members of the search committee for their effort to find the best possible candidate for this critical position,\u201d said Dr. Jerald Ainsworth, UTC Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Dr. Joanne Romagni chaired the committee with members Dr. Dee Dee Anderson, Dr. Pam Ashmore, Dr. Susan Davidson, and Dr. Daniel Pack.<\/span><\/p>\n
