Dr. Ed McMahon<\/p><\/div>\n

For his final lecture, Dr. Ed McMahon explored a timeline of what he learned outside of the classroom, and painted a portrait of adapting to the fast paced field of technology and innovation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis lecture it\u2019s not like my poor past or anything like that. It\u2019s about looking at life-long learning from my life-long learning,\u201d said McMahon.<\/p>\n

As he graduated from his 1953 Ford convertible to his VW Van to his Prius, McMahon\u2019s approach to his profession and the technologies of his career constantly evolved. His lecture \u201cTechnical Innovation and Lifelong Learning: what I didn\u2019t learn in school\u201d demonstrated how the world is your classroom.<\/p>\n

Over the past 32<\/span> years, Dr. Ed McMahon has served the University and College of Engineering and Computer Science \u00a0as professor, Interim Department Head, and most recently, Associate Dean. In honor of his June 30th retirement, a celebration of his success was recently published through the Huffington Post.<\/span><\/p>\n
