Dr. Steve Fallon, the Rev. John J. Cavanaugh, CSC, Professor of the Humanities in the Program of Liberal Studies at Notre Dame will present, “Genesis and Gender: Milton\u2019s Adam & Eve and the Birth of Modern Marriage.”<\/p>\n
Milton\u2019s Paradise Lost<\/strong> (1667), our language\u2019s greatest epic, offers both a sweeping vista of all space and time and an intimate portrait of marriage. This lecture explores the complex, prescient thinking on gender and marriage by a writer who has been attacked as a misogynist and celebrated as a proto-feminist.<\/em><\/p>\n
