This exhibition from the University\u2019s gift-based collection features work created by previous UTC Diane Marek Visiting Artists Joe Ramiro Garcia, Kahn & Selesnick, Matthew Deleget, and Okay Mountain beside that of icons of art history Robert Motherwell, Claes Oldenburg, Dieter Roth, and Andy Warhol.<\/span><\/p>\n

Working from observation with respect for the pictorial conventions of the figure, landscape, still life, and abstraction, Majumdar\u2019s paintings become conversations between reality and fiction, logic and ambiguity, tradition and the unexpected.<\/span><\/p>\n

UTC’s Theatre Season will include <\/span>Eurydice<\/span><\/i> by Sarah Ruhl and <\/span>Hay Fever<\/span><\/i> by No\u00ebl Coward. Patten Performances<\/b><\/h2>\n

The inSIGHT Performance Series is presented in association with Chattanooga Magazine.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Patten Performances series was inaugurated by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1980 as the Dorothy Patten Fine Arts Series, in honor of one of Chattanooga\u2019s most famous performing artists. Ms. Patten appeared in over 30 Broadway plays, countless touring and summer stock productions, television shows and the movie Botony Bay, with Alan Ladd and James Mason.<\/span><\/p>\n
