A portion of this endowment will support the research and construction of a chemical energy-powered vehicle by students participating in the annual ChemE Car competition as well as the design and analysis of microreactors for the production of biorenewable fuels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Among the speakers of the Jones Laboratory dedication is UTC alumna Dr. Stephanie Fraley. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After graduating from UTC in 2006 with a BS in chemical engineering, Fraley earned her PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fraley currently serves as assistant professor of bio-engineering at the University of California, San Diego. Her research involves understanding the multiple-scale physical and molecular contexts that drive complex cell behavior in sepsis and cancer.
