Leadership is far more than just the ability to boss people around.<\/p>\n

You can learn the skills to be an inspiring, effective leader at this year\u2019s Gentlemen’s Leadership Institute. The event begins at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, and runs until 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19. It takes place at Camp Lookout on top of Lookout Mountain.<\/p>\n

Gentlemen\u2019s Leadership Institute combines large and small group sessions led by experts in the field who will explain such topics as core values in decision-making and the concepts of leadership; they also will recount personal experiences and challenges. Please note that a high-ropes course is part of the weekend.<\/p>\n

The institute is free to enrolled UTC students who identify as male and are in good conduct and academic standing with University.<\/p>\n

Participants must provide their own linens and toiletries, but meals and transportation are provided by the Office of the Dean of Students.<\/p>\n

Applications are available under the “Forms” tab of the Office of the Dean of Students website<\/a> and must be submitted by noon on Nov. 9\u00a0in order to be considered.\u00a0Notifications and a list will on what to bring will be sent out by the end of the day on\u00a0Friday, Nov. 10.<\/p>\n
