The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is an outstanding business school, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company features the school in the new 2010 edition of its book The Best 301 Business Schools: 2010 Edition. <\/em><\/p>\n

According to Robert Franek, Princeton Review Senior VP-Publishing, “We are pleased to recommend UTC to readers of our book and users of our site, www.PrincetonReview.com<\/a>, as one of the best institutions they could attend to earn an MBA. We chose the 301 business schools in this book based on our opinion of their academic programs and offerings, as well as our review of institutional data we collect from the schools. We also strongly consider the candid opinions of students attending the schools who rate and report on their campus experiences at their schools on our survey for the book.” <\/p>\n

The Best 301 Business Schools: 2010 Edition<\/em> has two-page profiles of the schools with write-ups on their academics, student life and admissions, plus ratings for their academics, selectivity and career placement services. The Princeton Review’s 80-question survey for the book asked students about themselves, their career plans, and their schools\u2019 academics, student body and campus life. <\/p>\n

In the profile on UTC, the Princeton Review editors said UT Chattanooga\u2019s College of Business offers an MBA program \u201cgeared to the working professional, with classes starting at 5:30 P.M.\u201d Students\u2014a mix of regionally based recent undergrads and returning professionals\u2014report that \u201cUTC\u2019s MBA program is a great place for students to extend their base knowledge, especially if your undergraduate degree is not business related.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another student attending UTC said “the majority of our professors not only teach the material, but also practice outside of the classroom. Our global management professor is a partner at a global management consulting firm, our business law professor is a former partner at a large law firm in Michigan, and the list goes on.\u201d Professors \u201calso make themselves available for students, which is a great asset.\u201d <\/p>\n

The Princeton Review does not rank the business schools in the book on a single hierarchical list from 1 to 301, or name one business school best overall. <\/p>\n

The Princeton Review<\/a> is also known for its guides to colleges and to standardized tests, its test-prep courses, tutoring and other education services. The Princeton Review is based in Framingham, MA: its editorial offices are in New York City.
